Wright County Economic Development Partnership

The Economic Development Partnership of Wright County is a non-profit, public/private development corporation formed in 1993 to address the need for organized economic development at the county level. It is funded and directed by its members, who include the county, cities, townships, utilities, businesses, telecommunications companies, lenders, and educational institutions.

The Partnership’s vision is to create in Wright County a healthy and diverse environment for existing, expanding and new businesses, as well as to increase job opportunities and support the tax base. To this end, the Partnership works to promote the county as a single economic entity, provides information and services to communities and businesses, and works in a complementary manner with local and regional economic development programs.

The primary advantage of the Partnership is that it allows businesses, lenders, local governments, educators, and individuals to impact Wright County’s growth and development. Additionally, the Partnership promotes the interaction and networking of a community’s resources, provides a forum to address local economic and business issues, and creates a system through which entrepreneurs, lenders and government officials can increase private investment in the community.
